Persuasive writing.
This is what I personally think about which would make a better pet.
Is most likely to be half and half between the both, but I think that dogs would be better because they can understand mankind a lot better, for example if your in danger they could protect you from someone who is trying to hurt you. They will either bark or maybe can use violence on that person. a lot of dogs can listen to simple instructions such as ‘sit, jump, roll over, stand, no’ they are pretty clever for a animal to listen. In Fact there is a list of dogs that can protect you such as German shepherds, rottweilers and much more.

Reflection on term 2.
This is a reflection of term two on how I did and what I need to improve on. This term on literacy I improved more on my writing and reading. In math I also improved a little bit and also I could say that I’m more proud than before because I’ve gained more knowledge in math, in math we learnt measurement and fractions, also we learnt the area and perimeter. For writing our literacy class has been writing a lot because most students don’t know much on how to write such as using commas, full stop and more. Lastly our reading, our class read more to learn because it increases your knowledge and learns how to use correct words. The stuff I need to be better at is my reading, for reading I need to catch up on my reading age and want to read higher.
Going into my best highlights of term 2,
my most favorite part of term 2 is year 8 camp. Us year 8s got the opportunity to go to Kauaeranga valley Christian camp. For this camp we learned communication skills, helping each other, and lastly working well with one another. Can’t forget that special bond that we had at the camp and all the fun stuff that we did together. It was really good to have experience this at camp.
Now to my last but not least second favorite highlight.
We got to perform in front of hundreds of people. We practice on mostly everyday to make the performance good. getting to see every kid dancing up on the stage including being proud of their culture is really good. Everyone who had gone up the stage or for some students who couldn’t make it, made a good difference along with showing the Pt England way towards the audience who was watching their performance.

Speech about myself.
This is a speech about myself. The reason why I chose this speech was because most students here don’t know much about me. Hello My name is Victoria but many just call me Toria, I am 12 years of age and I have 4 siblings and I'm the eldest. I was originally born in the south island but was raise here in east Auckland. My culture is Tongan, Tuvalu, Kiribati, Japanese, German, lastly Samoan but mainly Tongan, Tuvalu, Kiribati. My favorite sports are Kickboxing and soccer. My favourite thing to do is to dance and sing at home. Also, I sing everywhere in public places. I love looking after little kids and playing soccer with them or just playing with them. One of my main goals is to gain more knowledge in reading higher and to write more, and the goal for my future is to become a doctor while becoming a singer. It’ll be hard for me becoming two at a same time but it's only to provide my family with more food and other Important things, plus the money I earn I will give it out to the homeless people who are out in the streets trying to survive. My mother has her own village in Tonga which is called Uiha, and my dad's village in Tuvalu is Nanumea. Growing up in a not so rich family had made me realize that life is hard but you have to push through it. I am blessed enough to have a family that can provide me and my siblings with food and more.
Task description:
This is my speech about myself, I have gotten up to say this and pretty much this is all about myself. in my opinion I think I was confidence in myself and read it well. this is my report on what I got on my speech, I got 2 fives and 3 fours which I could say that I'm very proud of.

Stepping Up
This is my speech about stepping up for yourself which is really important.
I choose this because a lot of people can’t step up for themselves because they are too afraid to speak up about it.
A lot of adults stick up for themselves when it comes to them being in a bad situation, sometimes being in a bad situation can affect your mental health which makes you sad and depressed and have no motivation to go out of bed because there is no reason for you to keep yourself hidden from the outside. But helping them can slowly make them a bit better but then if you continue it’ll process into them being happy and joyful again.
People think that teenagers don’t get sad and other things, but others don’t know what they go through and more stuff that's happening to them. Things can happen to them out in public, teens can get frustrated and sad when they get over mocked to the point where they have had enough and want to stay home all day. They’ll be again afraid to tell their parents about it or they can’t tell the teachers.
The magic show
Last week on the 25th of June on Friday we had Vas Kovaslski come to our school to perform for us and the theme was a magic show. At the start of the show he introduced us to his magic and himself and explained what he was going to do for us, also he is a professional Magician for about . He did magic and also kept us educated about keeping our diet balanced. He had a big plate of all the food that was written on the plate, there was proteins, grains, Vegetables and lastly fruits. Pulling out different kinds of food and putting them in the right order on the plate
He did his first magic and it was really impressive that everyone that was watching was entertained, what he did was he grabbed a cloth and put it inside his hand but still showing that the cloth was inside his hand, showing everyone that nothing was in his but a cloth. Giving it a second of pause, pulling out the cloth and somehow turning into a bird, he had pulled everyone's attention that they gave him the sign that they wanted more because he really got everyone's attention and all eyes were on him.
Each time when he does a magic he pause for a minute to tell the audience why you should not eat Junk food everyday and how you should eat healthy because its good for your body and can fight off the bacteria that's spreading around your body.

Ellerslie Garden.
Yesterday morning was going to be a trip to ellerslie garden for us to perform for the elderly people who have disabilities and those who have sickness. Us students went to ellerslie garden for a reason, we were chosen so we could show our performance towards them and make them feel happy and safe. We went on the bus at 10:15 then arrived 15 minutes later but had to walk in quietly in order for the other people to have their rest. We got inside and got our temperatures checked, lined up against the wall ready to perform. We were now going to sing our waiata. We sanged five and an extra song to end it off smoothly and nicely. One thing that was my absolute favorite was getting to communicate with the elderly people, it was really nice of them to tell us that we sang well and to give us compliments, we also got to tell some things about ourselves and tell them our names. One thing that was very big for us is that we brought tears to them, well not sad tears it was happy tears, and can't forget that we also got a goodies bag. I wanna say that it was a big thing for me and getting to experience this and talking with the elderly people was really fun.

Fiafia Night
Fiafia:
This is a reflection about the Fiafia on how we reflect on it. I am in the Tongan girls group. The start of the night was full on packed with a lot of people, and heaps of cars that were packed. The Fiafia began by Mr Burt introducing himself and explaining what was going to happen, and first up was the kapa haka group, some students had their solo and they sounded amazing. Each group got up to perform and I could tell that they were nervous because there were a lot of people watching them and others were screaming their names. It was now our turn and all of us girls were scared, we were all nervous and excited for us to perform in front of everyone. We were after the Myanmar group and they performed really well. After they were done we were up next, once we got up on stage everyone screamed out loud cheering for us, our dance began and we put energy on our dance and smiled, I looked all the way at the back to see if my family was there but I couldn’t see. The Fiafia was coming to an end and now Mr Burt sent us off with a prayer and we went back to our changing rooms to get change or to grab our stuff to head back home. This year was my last Fiafia and I am now off to college. Experiencing this was amazing and cool. I hope that they will do more of these in the future.

Picnic
Picnic at pt England school.
Introduction:
The reason why it's good to have a picnic at the pt England beach is because you can take a break from all the work you’ve been doing everyday while you're at school. And also you can interact with other people at the beach. also there's many activities you can do there as well.
Paragraph 1:
Cleaning up.
The first thing before we go to the beach is we do a big clean up around the pt england beach to make sure its clean, sometimes we have little rubbish lying around at the beach, so we grab some gloves and a rubbish bag and walk around picking up rubbish. Once we are done we go back to school and wait until the day we get to go to the beach.
Paragraph 2:
The fun
There are a lot of activities which can be placed on the field, at the beach or on the sand. There are many sports to play such as cricket, volleyball, soccer and rugby and as well on the playground. And finally you can swim in the water because of how hot the weather, but you can only swim if it's high tide if not then you can't swim because it's low tide.
Paragraph 3:
Bonding with friends:
While you are at the beach you can meet everyone there, and also make new friends and also everyone can come to the picnic and your family too, it's a good idea for your parents to meet your friends if they haven’t met them yet. And again it’ll be a great opportunity for your family to meet other families and get along with them and hopefully become friends.
