Six-sentence story

Sentence 1: Begins with ‘Once upon a time’ and introduces the main character

Sentence 2: Describes where the character lived

Sentence 3: Describes the character’s special talent

Sentence 4: Describes the character’s problem

Sentence 5: Tells why the character felt that way

Sentence 6: Tells how the character solved the problem

1. Once upon a time...
There was a young girl named Rebeccah.

She lived in the middle of the forest .

Rebbecah was gifted with the special talent of being able to see ghosts.

The only problem was she was terrified of ghosts.
5.
Ghosts would randomly appear in front of her giving her a fright.

6.
She got a religious pendant that ward off ghosts and would carry the special pendant everywhere she went.

Word problem of the week:
For every 8 girls in a school, there are 12 boys. If there are 40 students in the school, how many girls and boys are there in the school?

Answer: 8+8=16. 12+12=24. 24+8=40. There are 16 girls and 24 boys in the school.

At camp, we need one adult to every 8 students. If there are 88 year eights this year, how many adults will we need to take? If there were 90, how many adults would we need to take to still be legal? 8+8=16


If 1 pack of raro makes 8 cups of drink, how many packs would we need to make 64?


8x8=64 so you’ll need 8 packs of raro to make 64



If 3 loaves of bread feed 9 children for a week, how many loaves would 12 children need?


You’ll need 4 loaves to feed 12 children.
