Today our class decided to do some painting to catch up because we are going to put it up on our walls in school, so what we painted was "Starry Night" which was painted by Vincent Van Gogh. what painting does is that it takes time to get the painting look nice and also less in 10 years he painted over 900 paintings and much more interesting facts about him. but we also got to use his technique on the painting..

Niuean Language week

                                                   

                              Niue was found by Captain Cook and when he found it he called it                                                       "Savage Island" There are no traffic lights. Its is known as "The Rock" and whats 

                                  different than the other islands is that it has no beach.

                  Niue is about 261.5km big, with the population its about 1,200 that is living in Niue.

                   And what cool about Niue is that everyone knows each other, Niue become a country in 19                             October 1974 and today is 19 October. did you know that the uber car is actually a police car!

Assembly

Today is friday we had our first assmebly for today, we headed to class to get ready for the day so when we go in our class we quickly went to the street and sat down to do the karakia and sang. we got up to go to the assmbley. we had arrived and sat on our chairs and Mr Burt explain what's going to happen during the few weeks also we are going to be wearing hats and there will be a dico for the little kids to year 1 to 3 and last the koriro.

Tuvaluan Workshop

 Today we had a Tuvaluan Dance at the hall because Tuvalu language week was coming up but , I pretty much felt excited because I got to know more about my culture. when they arrived at the hall i was late I went to the hall at sat on the floor. we met two cool people who are our teacher meaning like teaching about the culture of Tuvalu also they names were Mary Anne and I don't remember the other name,  first thing they did was give some information about the Tuvalu culture, it is the 4th smallest country in the world, let's just say I was shock also 11,00 people who lives there.

And now moving on to the dance I really love the dance!! I had so much fun doing it but the one thing that was funny to me was swaying your hips, in Tuvalu they like making the dance perfect and the story about the myths and legends.
