Niuean Language week

                                                   

                              Niue was found by Captain Cook and when he found it he called it                                                       "Savage Island" There are no traffic lights. Its is known as "The Rock" and whats 

                                  different than the other islands is that it has no beach.

                  Niue is about 261.5km big, with the population its about 1,200 that is living in Niue.

                   And what cool about Niue is that everyone knows each other, Niue become a country in 19                             October 1974 and today is 19 October. did you know that the uber car is actually a police car!

Assembly

Today is friday we had our first assmebly for today, we headed to class to get ready for the day so when we go in our class we quickly went to the street and sat down to do the karakia and sang. we got up to go to the assmbley. we had arrived and sat on our chairs and Mr Burt explain what's going to happen during the few weeks also we are going to be wearing hats and there will be a dico for the little kids to year 1 to 3 and last the koriro.

I am a patu kirikiri, a rock used for throwing at people in battle.

There were 50 strong men who slowly climbed into a finely carved waka.They then waited for the instructions,’kia rite’.he (Kaihautu) then called loudly ’hoea’’.They all began to paddle across the bay and met to see the white men.They then traded with the white men on the ship.
